Niseko Backcountry Day Tours
Just 30 minutes from Niseko are the northern peaks of the Annupuri Range. The area provides for a multitude of terrain options, from open bowls, mellow gladed runs to short steep chutes. Vertical can be gained at the start of the day from nearby lifts before we leave the crowds behind and head in to the backcountry, accessing more vertical with skins or snow-shoes.
There are a large numbers of route options and tours are tailored to suit the ability and fitness of the group, from short hiking days for beginners to all day ascents of Mt Yotei. Yotei is one of the longest descents in Hokkaido and one of the most spectacular, rising to 1,893 meters from close to sea level.
Participants must be confident in intermediate terrain and have powder experience. Beginners to the backcountry will be taught the use of backcountry safety equipment.
