Where the ocean and mountains meet
From Niseko you will travel along the northern side of the Annupuri Range, which stretches right to the Sea of Japan. Here is the fishing town of Iwanai and the mountain of Iwanaidake. This is the first mountain that receives snow, where cold air is whipped up from the ocean passing over the mountains. You will ski through tree runs of silver birch or open runs, left by the old ski resort. This will be some of the finest powder you will ever experience.
